สมาคมการจัดประชุมนานาชาติเปิดผลรายงาน ICCA Ranking Report 2024 ซึ่งจัดอันดับประเทศและเมืองเจ้าภาพการจัดประชุมนานาชาติทั่วโลก ไทยไต่ขึ้นสู่อันดับ 25 ของโลก ด้วยจำนวนงานประชุมนานาชาติรวม 158 งาน เพิ่มขึ้นจาก 143 งานในปีก่อน ส่งผลให้ไทยครอง อันดับ 5 ในเอเชีย และ ขึ้นเป็นอันดับ 1 ในอาเซียน.
ในระดับเมือง กรุงเทพมหานคร สร้างประวัติศาสตร์หน้าใหม่ขึ้นสู่อันดับ 7 ของโลก และ อันดับ 3 ของเอเชีย
ขณะที่ เชียงใหม่ (12 งาน), พัทยา (10 งาน) และภูเก็ต (8 งาน) ยังคงรักษาตำแหน่งเมืองเป้าหมายหลักในการจัดประชุมนานาชาติอย่างต่อเนื่อง รายงานยังเปิดเผยว่า ปีนี้มีอีก 9 เมืองในไทยที่สามารถผ่านเกณฑ์การจัดอันดับ ICCA เป็นครั้งแรกหรืออย่างต่อเนื่อง ได้แก่:
ชลบุรี (3 งาน) เชียงราย (2 งาน) ปทุมธานี (2 งาน) หัวหิน (1 งาน) ขอนแก่น (1 งาน)สมุย (1 งาน)นครราชสีมา (1 งาน)นนทบุรี (1 งาน)ปัตตานี (1 งาน)รวมแล้วในปี 2567 มีเมืองในประเทศไทยติดอันดับรวม 13 เมือง สะท้อนถึงความก้าวหน้าในการกระจายโอกาสทางเศรษฐกิจและศักยภาพของเมืองรองทั่วประเทศในฐานะเมืองไมซ์

The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) has announced the release of the 2024 ICCA Ranking Report at IMEX Frankfurt 2025, showing Thailand’s impressive ascent in the international conference landscape.
• Thailand hosted a total of 158 international conferences in 2024, an increase from 143 in 2023.
• Thailand’s 2024 global ranking rises to the 25th place among 160 countries, a rise from the 26th in 2023.
• Thailand climbs to the 5th place in Asia Pacific and the 1st in ASEAN or Southeast Asian region.
• Bangkok hosted 115 international conferences in 2024, earning the city the world’s 7th spot as a conference destination among over 1,500 cities worldwide and the 3rd in Asia Pacific.
